About Us:

EMIDA International Publishers (EIP) is a subdivision of the group of businesses known as EMIDA INTERNATIONAL SERVICES, INC., and registered in the District of Columbia in the United States of America in 1990.

EIP was established in response to the scarcity and exorbitant cost of books in the continent of Africa. EIP was also established to arrest the fraudulent practices of American vanity presses which preyed and continue to prey upon the naivety of African scholars and writers about the publishing industry in the United States.

Business Philosophy:

"Honesty is the best policy." EIP believes that the interest of its customers is paramount to its success. It believes that a satisfied customer is a loyal customer. In order to succeed, the company believes in and practices honest business transactions. It does not believe that the profit motive must be obtained at all cost. However, EIP is neither a philanthropic nor a social service organization.

Scope of Business:

EIP seeks to open avenues to good writers and scholars whose excellent manuscripts are rejected by the large publishing foreign companies either because such manuscripts are of no interest to those publishing companies or because of the problems of penetration into the African market.

EIP believes in the manufacture of the best in quality book-production. It is not a "vanity" press. Therefore, EIP will not publish a book which cannot or will not be reviewed in a relevant journal or periodical.

Track Record:

Since 1997, EIP has published four books. Three of its titles won the Writer's Digest National Self-Published Book Award. The president of the company is himself an award-winning author of seven books and has appeared on over two hundred radio and TV programs. The books are sold through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Quality Books and Unique Books.

EIP is a small, minority-owned business that has potential to reach the highest levels by covering the entire African, Asian, and Latin American markets. You are called upon to support and patronize EIP by buying its excellent products. You cannot be disappointed.
